UEA SUPPORTS TOBI AFTER ALL

It has come to our attention that UEA has endorsed Tobi Jackson based on her testimony that she will run one more time.  Again this time she will do a lot more for teachers.

What we know is that the status quo will continue and UEA will continue it's hold on the governance of the district.  Another reason why the district does not move is because UEA threatens to sue when it doesn't get its way and then the district backs down.

Look at every major policy by the district, shut down even before it starts.  So they would rather go with the person they can count on to do their bidding.  So teachers we will get what is coming to us.. more of the same.

They went with the person that has more money and based on who they think will win.. It's not based on the merits of any candidate but what is convenient.  So they are still in bed with the policy makers.. remember the newbies were supposed to change it and now we are in the same boat.

Teachers if you ever wonder why things don't change.. remember that deals are made behind closed doors.  There is a purpose for support but at the cost of the bullying environment that UEA should have helped stopped but have not.

  1. This can't be true. She had consistently voted AGAINST us. My GOD she is still supporting the litigation against Palazzolo after 5 YEARS and millions in legal fees. WHAT are they thinking?

Everyone complains about the miss treatment by the district and the board... Well now is the time to stand up together and say NO...! Say no to by voting NO to Jackson, Needham and Moss...pull your money out of UEA.. If you vote me back in I will do better...REALLY? In other words I sucked the first time, but give me another chance and I promise not to suck... Mioss no one is running against her ( what a shame) you can vote No by simply not voting for her at all... Need ham take her power away from her... Voters you have the power now! It is time to use it! Scream we are tired and we are not going to take it anymore....

Every educator that is a member of UEA needs to move to ATPE! Unbelievable that they would support Toby. It is all about money, which I have suspected for a while with UEA, this proves it!

  4. I am not doubting you, blog editor. In fact I so appreciate you and all of the commenters and discussions. I am poised to quit UEA on Monday morning, but how can the evidence of their support of Tobi be seen?

I wonder how much $$ Mr. Poole got for selling his soul? When a UEA Rep was asked, "how could you support this woman?" He replied, it's about not burning bridges and politics!!! No, it's about $$ pure and simple!!! I've been with UEA for more than 10 years and once I see concrete proof that UEA supports this piece of crap, I will find another organization. You can dress that up anyway you like, Tobi Jackson will be exactly WHO SHE IS & WHAT SHE IS!!! Do not think that she has decided to change her ways because she had ample time to do so and did NOT! The only way to be heard, is to affect their $$$$! So, if UEA wants to support her then it should cost them for it! Anyone belonging to another effective organization, please post any information or details of your experiences with them.

  8. So there are three candidates: an ANGLO with a 5 year track record of voting anti-Teacher/Student, pro big business interests, ALWAYS voting Against Teachers; who doesn't even have her children in the schools she represents; A second African American Minister, A third Hispanic Principal, with classroom and FWISD experience and the largest Teacher representative supports the ANGLO? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE? I am DONE with UEA!!!!!!!

  9. I am going to ATPE I'm canceling my membership of UEA Monday. This is sickening and this is why FWISD will always stay the bottom of the barrel school district corrupt board (except Ann Sutherland only person on the board with ethics and honesty). I'm so disappointed in UEA and will follow up with phone calls and letters. In addition, let teachers in other districts know about this unethical choice to support an unethical person.

  10. Jackson voted against every Teacher grievance that went before the Board over the past five years. She also voted to censor Ann Sutherland, and most recently, just SAT THERE at the last Board meeting when that attorney wanted Ann thrown out of the Board meeting. How can you support someone who is ACTIVELY AGAINST the ONLY advocate teachers have had on that Board for the last five years? I'm done and I will spread the word to all of my friends. Tobi Jackson is NO FRIEND of Teachers. Let her prove me wrong by attempting to undo all of the wrong and heartache she has caused over the past five (5) years.

    ReplyDelete
  11. If this is really true, then we all have been betrayed by UEA and should cancel our membership. This person has done nothing to improve education in her district or FWISD. With her anti-teacher and STUDENT track record and two minority candidates running in a primarily minority district running against her, how could this be anything be racially motivated?

    ReplyDelete
  12. I take it you aren't an ANGLO given your insistence on capitalizing the word throughout this post. I'll ask YOU, what's wrong with that picture? I could just as easily say it's about a life-long east side female running against a self-proclaimed bigot minister (who by his very own words is biased against all LGBTQs) and a carpet-bagging principal who, ahem, misled about his full-time residence in District 2 in order to run for the board. The same principal who, by the very nature of his employer the Dallas ISD, has to spend the majority of his waking days and many nights and weekends caring for his students at the magnet school in Dallas he represents. See, race doesn't even have to be mentioned, now does it? This picture couldn't be any clearer for me. Oh, and everybody threatening to run to Herrera's ATPE? Please do. They need all the help they can get, and UEA would be better off without you. Isn't this the same UEA who supported Ann in a recent election? How quickly you forget.

  13. Let me get
this straight. You are against the Mayor. You’re against District management.
You’re against the Board (except your golden girl Ann). You are against school
administrators. You were against Boyd. Now you’re against your very own brethren, the UEA, because they invited candidates to present before them and then
selected the candidate who they thought would best represent our children,
schools and taxpayers. So I guess what you’re saying is that anyone who doesn’t
support YOUR agenda is wrong. This is like watching guppies eating their fry. So funny :)

After 5 years now teachers matter? We don't get to choose the only a committee.

We are against the status quo of which she is a part of. Had she shown the support for us in any way then there would be no problem. Ann at least voices her intent or decision. Tobi has not even expressed anything that would signal why she votesShe has approved 99% for the policies that have created this mess.
what does she stand for? What is going to improve? The land at Farrington that needham wants developed cannot be sold but Tobi supported her. Stuff like that that speak to character. Is what you do that we are saying. Big money knows she will sell the district for the right price and here we are.

Karma Tobi. You got caught taking money from a convict and covered it up. So you are the last person to be of moral reasoning. You yourself are closeted and not allow your daughter to be herself. Remember you attended and let her attend LGBT dances but now it doesn't suit you. At least the principal is committed which you lack. My uea rep told me he has a plan and focus and the most qualified but because money is the issue they won't support. So we would rather have the carpetbagger who at least knows our struggles and better sense of direction than your lack of ethics. You thought you could knock him out with the residence issue and now that it's not an issue now you change tunes. Obviously he bothered you. Sultan has own special interest from the very people who have district contracts so we know how that goes.

There is no documented evidence this was derived from several sources which is UEA rep and calls from Poole himself. Our next move is to contact the candidates and see if any response well minus Tobi since she is on here. The main reason told is the principal has no big money base like Tobi and downtown is supporting her which includes the wealthy with the mayor. Also since she will not run again. They based their decision on the money and not the merits.

Just keep on pretending you are for children. God bless the UEA for not bowing to narrow minded thinkers like you. Hope you enjoy ATPE.

  20. Does Cole know FWISD has policies to protect LGBT staff and students?
We know Jackson does due to her daughter at Paschal.
Neither Cole or Jackson have an education background. Jackson does but in corrupt Prime private school and corrupt non credited college. Can someone repost her history with Prime and non credited college?
Again, why we anyone vote for board members that DO NOT HAVE THEIR OWN CHILDREN IN THE DISTRICT THEY ARE TRYING TO LEAD?

Sure, just talk to each other and never ever EVER consider you might be wrong. Your way or the highway, right? So glad you aren't running for an elected office. Or are you?

  23. I am an Anglo. I believe there are various levels of racism. My point here is that candidate A has 5 years of proven, anti-teacher, retaliatory voting at the cost of millions of taxpayer $$$. Don't believe that? Ask Palazzolo. Behind closed doors, Tobi and her buddies decided to keep wasting our money trying to save face. Candidate A views 2 hour bus rides as study halls; has an LGBT daughter she does not want attending a school in her district. Candidate B is Black man an alleged "man of the cloth" and homophobe. Candidate C is a Latino, certified Teacher and Administrator. Who got the endorsement? The Anglo with the proven 5 year track record. Just reeks of corruption.

    ReplyDelete
  24. B.S. and you know it. Anglos don't go around shouting the "ANGLO." Why didn't you also write "AFRICAN AMERICAN" or "HISPANIC?" And sure, I will go ask J.P. his thoughts since he is seeking millions in taxpayer dollars. I'm sure he has an unbiased opinion. I don't know the Latino's reason for running. None of his platform is anything but trite and tired rhetoric such as prove graduation rates,

    ReplyDelete
  25. Okay EducateThis15, I will share my own personal experience with Ms. Jackson and you judge for yourself. Anglo 3rd grade student with no Spanish exposure EVER was placed in a bilingual classroom ON DIRECT ORDER from Tobi Jackson. (Whose not even qualified to make that call) Student had several issues-speech, far below grade level, major behavior challenge, Bipolar mother, etc. there's so many it's hard to list them all but, hopefully you get the jest. After the parent verbally assaulted his teacher and made continual threats, etc. Tobi decided that the best move was to put him in a class where reading would be taught entirely in Spanish and she did this on the request of the CRAZY mother. So, any guess as to that child's progress? Not rocket science-he fell even further behind and that teacher is an awesome veteran teacher but, even she wasn't Superwoman. Toward the end of that year that CRAZY mother began to threaten even that teacher (even though she had requested her) and she also threatened our Principal in front of everyone during dismissal! Any guess what Tobi did to support the teacher and Principal? Tobi told the teacher that perhaps she should record any future threats on video. No I'm not the teacher not that it matters but, make no mistake that WOMAN is not for teachers or students! Sadly it was the student who suffered because he had no business in a Spanish classroom. Our job as educators is to do what's best for students ALWAYS and when students have ignorant parents we are obligated to help build a bridge with the parents (even if they are nuts) but we do not forget that WE ARE THE EXPERTS when it comes to the educating and leave the parenting TO THE PARENTS!

  26. Are you saying race should be the primary consideration?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Does UEA need to support 1 of the 3 or can they not take a stand and support specific platforms? It's not like there's some requirement to support at least one and it's difficult to understand why they would support Jackson! I mean if she's done ONE THING just ONE for teachers then let's see a post about it! I'm guessing there will be none but he'll prove me wrong. I know there's one UEA rep that reads this blog and I happen to value a respect this person SO HELP US UNDERSTAND!!! Cause it sure REEKS of some back door BS! C'mon give us one thing that she's ever done to gain the support of UEA! Don't say politics either! It is only political if we make it so and those of us who see through that lame excuse already know the "political" excuse is just CODE for we not gonna tell!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Let's see, narcissistic comments, dilusions of grandeur, self-serving, fake, and mean spirited...yep, YOU STILL ARE JACKSON!!! Why not use your real name, if you're "pro-Jackson"! We all have pseudonyms, b/c we fear retaliation, like what happened to Joe P. What's your excuse? I would venture to say you and your ignorant posts go away after elections! Until then, keep up the good work trying to steer people away from the TRUTH! By the way,"Educate this 15", you think your email and IP address can't be traced? Think again! As far as hitting the truth and causing hurt;and running for office: No hurt or anger here, just bored with your predictable bullshit! Not running and never would, especially on this god forsaken board as it stands now! Maybe when I retire from education and you, Needham, MJ and Marty all room together in a nursing home! And that's NOT too far from now!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Funny thing about facts. For the five years you sat back and watched as Needham tried everything in her power to destroy JP's credibility, career and family, he consistently maintained all he wanted was his job back. You fools sat in your intentionally, publicly broadcast "executive session" meeting and said you'd rather "go to trial and loose than bring him back" (all reported on this Blog). Well, he took you to a jury trial and you lost BIG. What did you do? Secret, illegal, closed door decision to appeal. What did this Blog report about JP's settlement offer of two weeks ago? I thought it was that he would walk away from what the Jury awarded him just to be reinstated. Doesn't sound like somebody out for "millions in taxpayer dollars". You fools made that decision. So after five (5) years of Needham's games, what would YOU do to resolve the Palazzolo situation? Why haven't you done anything? All B.S. because you just don't understand what true education is all about.

  30. I would suggest this to all UEA members. If UEA contributes one cent to Tobi Jackson and you disagree, file an anonymous complaint with the IRS and let an IRS audit decide how you money is being used.

  32. Okay, then show me I'm wrong! Tell me one thing, just one that she did for teachers! Who by the way are directly responsible for success or failure of our students! So stop with all of the babble and rhetoric and tell us something that you know! All you ever do is attack bloggers for what they are saying but YOU say nothing. Show me that I'm wrong! Look I'd love to know something good that she's done because I sure know A lot of the bad!

Clever ruse, "You come out from cover, but I won't." SMH. If I was still at the ISP, I assure you I would try to uncover the FWISD higher ups and wanabees I suspect are hosting and posting on this site, but then again, that's a recipe for a lawsuit on invasion of privacy even I wouldn't risk. And people can make up stories on here all day long, but anyone with any brains can see right through them.

  35. I feel like I'm on an episode of Ghost Stories where people try to use another person as a conduit for another. You people are crazy as loons. I doubt Tobi is as stupid as Ann or LaBeau to post here and give you guys even a hint of credibility.

  36. concernedcitizensfortworthisdMarch 21, 2015 at 6:19 PM

We would bet he would do more than you have done in 5 years without a job for most of them. As you question his commitment you have no idea what he would do. He has ideas and you have not even said what you would do different. We know nothing because you only speak in executive session where it's not public. Email him or call him. From what we see he hasn't said anything more than how he will support teachers. My rep said he talked about ending SCAs, more training on time and those of us who have yet to receive our resources want someone to ask where they are. The point is Tobi you lack substance. You don't ask questions because one you don't know or have a clue. You just say yes.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Well it's a moot point since Tobi Jackson has no credibility with Teachers or Staff.

  39. concernedcitizensfortworthisdMarch 21, 2015 at 9:11 PM

UEA did not support platforms.. they supported the candidate who had the money to win or at least in their view. It was all a hoax to make it seem that they were being fair to all but they already knew who they were supporting. So now they turn to tactics to talk bad about the other candidates. For the thousands that are members and did not get representation is ludicrous. And yes we thank Educate for telling most of us to leave UEA we glad accept the challenge. ATPE here we come! At least they have real lawyers not ones with a certificate from Captain Crunch!

  40. concernedcitizensfortworthisdMarch 21, 2015 at 9:15 PM

Well let's put this in perspective educate... when posts are made here they are out in the open. Either the post is a rumor and we wait for evidence from the public and leave it alone or we post proof. Every proof that we have on most stories is what we get from the inside. People are expressing what they have held back for so long because of the environment and we are offering them protection on the site. So if these are made up stories then why are you here? When it's not true then you leave it alone and let it go. What has gotten under the skin of most is that we get the news faster than they do and that we can prove the majority of what we have. What can you prove? You write as if you speak for many.. and I don't see many commenting on your side. You see true leadership is who follows you and buys in.. not who you force or pay to do it. You say you are not Tobi... regardless you stay close to her and it's the same thing.. you all come from the same venom.

We are all for children and teachers because that what we do. The point being that she is a hypocrite all around. UEA bows to the district and vice versa. Let's recall that they are a for profit organization while ATPE is not. They offer rewards to recruit because they cannot get their message across. So they pick sides and then pay the candidate.. interesting.

The bullshit has been mutating too long; it's time to peel the layers of corruption away from the FWISD corrupted onion! I applaud Joe P, teachers who back him, and supporters working behind the scenes, for pushing forward, to hold this district accountable! 47. Yeah right. A "DISD Insider" is going to post here? Whatever. And Who CARES? We need him here on the Board.

    ReplyDelete
  48. How is that a reply to anything in my response to your previous claim? The JURY of 12 unbiased members of the public AWARDED Palazzolo 2.8 million plus legal fees, plus daily interest. That is on top of the 2 million the Board spent on legal fees alone which they now have to disclose. He offered to walk away from the 2.8 million just to be reinstated. The Board including Tobi said "NO". Can't have it both ways. You fired him for reporting wrong yet you promote another who fathered a child with a minor student (who is still employed) and harbor others who are having affairs with students - unless they are Hispanic.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Sorry, but you misspelled "God" in the sentence above. The "god of the coin" - which is who Poole sold us out to - is spelled with a small "g".

  50. Right. Who in DISD reads this blog? Bullshit. Who cares? We need Aguilar on the Board. FWISD will probably offer him a job to get him to drop out. He'd be crazy to come back unless he was Superintendent. Ask those of us who have health issues from working in this madhouse.

  52. Don't forget UEA Members, UEA is a FOR PROFIT corporation. They only make MONEY if you continue to suffer and kids continue to be harmed. They have NO motivation to clean up FWISD. If they did, they would NEVER have endorsed Jackson.

    ReplyDelete
  53. ATPE also represents administrators. I am concerned about conflict of interests.

    ReplyDelete
  54. And your point is what? UEA's lifeblood is the corruption the they allow to flourish in FWISD. ATPE stays out of the politics. They refer you to an attorney. There is no conflict of interest. UEA has the conflict of interest by knowingly supporting an individual who for 5 years has been completely hostile to the interests of teachers and children. She has a DEMONSTRTED RECORD of voting against Teachers, Administrators, Employees and Children. UEA has finally shot themselves in the head on this one. I think we are all still in shock. I will go further and say that as an organization, UEA has become confused and schizophrenic. On one hand they support the ONLY Board Member who for 5 years consistently stood for truth, while on the other hand support one of the very people who voted to censure her into silence.

    ReplyDelete
  55. After 5 years of failure and decline, with her OWN CHILDREN not attending school in the district she represents, unless you live on a plantation, the east side minority majority should not be voting for the big money white girl. Is that clear enough?

  58. Like so many others, I'm shocked that UEA would indorse Jackson and I also agree that since Larry Shaw left, UEA has gone down hill. They no longer stand up to administration like they use to. But here's my question, does ATPE have an office with lawyers in town now? When I first started teaching, I was a member of ATPE. I had a big problem with a principal when I was working in another district. The lawyer they assigned me was in Austin so the logistics were a nightmare. There wasn't anyone in town I could get to my school when the guy was all over my back. If I call my union, I want to know there will be someone at my school to deal with my problem that day and not have to schedule an appointment for a lawyer to come from out of town. Can someone tell me if that has changed? Another way to go at this is for all of us to raise enough hell with UEA and get them to back away from their endorsement.

I have Every number including a few home numbers in case I need to speak after regular hours from UEA Rep. One in particular walked me through one of my most difficult times with an idiot principal. So, moving to another organization will be difficult but, I want answers! Why wouldn't UEA choose no support if none were worthy?? IDK but you can bet your ass I will ask!!! If it's true, I will have enough information to make a well-informed decision. Every single member who reads this blog SHOULD AT THE VERY LEAST make a simple phone call to see if they are indeed supporting Tobi! The calls alone should warrant a change of heart. Of course, if nobody calls to inquire well then NOBODY gets to complain about who they support!!'

  66. I agree she can be as big a hypocrite as the others but there are moments where she stands alone. For example, Ann and the others are so SHOCKED by the videos posted on the other story. Claimed they had NO IDEA. RIGHT. Here is the story from CBS 11 and the Fort Worth Weekly when the fight videos first came to light before the Palazzolo trial. My point is they are all liars. Sutherland is asking for a report but goes on to claim: "Yes, I suspect you are completely correct that student behavior at Paschal is superior to some other high schools despite comments online." I asked her on this blog a few months ago about Dugan (I didn't post pics at the time) but, I was very specific and direct! She replied and I quote, I will look into that! Then nothing and I don't know why! I told myself that it must be difficult to be the only one doing the right thing and I just chalked it up to the fact that she couldn't possibly do it all! The she came on and blogged just recently that she was not aware of such information and that she only knew about some things he said (verbally) that was in poor choice, to a student. That's just what Dansby had told her but that's just not true! I told her! I mean I could've understood her if she said that she couldn't confirm the story but to say that she never heard about the affair with the student and the student having a child; she knew!
I feel so frustrated because there seems to be no one on this board who's willing to stand up! No matter what!!!!!!!

Ann has stood up more than not for us. Yes she can go astray at times but so far the only one that responds regardless.

  69. UEA is a product of Tocco and Larry Shaw. ATPE was so strong with REAL litigation that Shaw met with Tocco, Speer, Linares, Dansby and others to start UEA and shut down ATPE if allowed to go into the campuses and offices of FWISD take over by stating RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW. This is the history of UEA and why NOTHING gets done or change.

  70. Trust me. The stake through our collective hearts will be when we learn that once again, UEA is endorsing Needham.

Jackson worked here as well...private school!
    UEA endorsement?
Worked at a non credited college and a private school and sends her own children to schools outside of the district she represents!

So for those people that question residency and commitment did she have to resign when she went to prime prep since she could not fulfill her duties? How about when she lied on her financial statement about money received from Mario Perez and only changed it a year later which by law must be sooner, should she have resigned?
She only changed it when Mario alerted her that he was being indicted and you can check out her response on her file. The star reported on it so its fact. But I guess she is held to a different standard than the other two candidates.

  76. A different standard indeed...this race is really a RACE. How many Hispanics does UEA have on staff?

No mention of endorsements interesting. I think members should ask who they endorsed.

  78. THIS is the kind of investigation that needs to happen into FWISD. Dickerson, Needham, MJ, Sims, Moss, Jackson, Ray, Menchaca, Kaufman, ETC., Etc. now down to UEA.
This cancer has festered on our children because Fort Worth politicians, bankers, and business do not want the negative publicity. Well, FWISD is the TITANIC. The iceberg has been struck but these folks deny the ship is sinking!

  79. And the SCOURGE of Melody Johnson keeps reappearing under a guise of "education". What joke! A vicious, mean spirited bitch who oversaw the decline of public schools in Rhode Island before her "mentor" Judy brought her here. Probably the best thing Carlos Vasquez ever did or will ever do for kids in FWISD was pushing MJ to the point of resignation. FWISD has still not recovered as many of her minions remain. http://www.star-telegram.com/news/local/community/fort-worth/article15529673.html

Interesting what she is doing and didn't do for her own principals. She didn't allow them to do their job just be yes people. Now she's an expert. Please!

  82. I called UEA and spoke with Steven Poole. Told him how disgusted I was about them endorsing Jackson and that I was going to move my membership. He was sorry about that but essentially said she was the best choice of the 3 running for that seat. He also said that they aren't going to actively work for Jackson but they are going to work for Ann. I told him that I hoped they weren't going to support Needham and he said that maybe a race they don't endorse anyone. That didn't make sense to me because I'd told him that if they didn't really like any of the 3 in the Jackson race they shouldn't have endorsed anyone. Bottom line if everyone that is upset about this calls it may make a difference and definitely if they are losing money it may convince them to change their mind.

  83. Steven Poole is Michael Sorum's younger brother. Each is about as courageous and concerned with education as the other. Enough said? Out right stupidity to endorse Jackson. Now its left to the Minority majority community to turn out the vote for their children. FWISD will not last another 5 years of this.

  84. Did anyone drop UEA today? Probably not! Let me know.

  85. Just because you think you know who I am won't keep my mouth shut but maybe it will keep you on your toes!!!😆😆😆 Perhaps, you should do the right thing and I would have nothing to blog you idiot! Readers-Our principal holds a staff meeting to point out my blogs and how horrible they are! Well, my blogs aren't half as horrible as the dumb crap you allow to happen and you tell yourself it's in the best interest of children. WTF??!? By the way your AP was playing on her phone during the whole meeting!

  90. I wonder if any money will be taken up or a reward given to the person that is trying to figure out who is blogging. Crap done to the students? Try all the crap done to the employees. If you not a favorite of the Principal or Vice Principal you are useless in their eyes. The poor head custodian don't stand a chance. They are always on him. The principal is a wuss. And the Vice Principal doesn't know how to communicate without rolling her neck and using hand gestures. Oh well check mate.

  91. Hmm....... I was going to say someting to NSA but poof. After staff meeting people felt bad for our leader but not entirely fair to blame just one. I'm going to put my 2cents in. No way can you ignore anymore. Shit rolls downhill and who you think it's going to hit? Last year-uncertified long term sub teaching 1st grade, this year 1st grade classroom with 28 students and no compliance teacher, another with 25 or 26 students and this teacher must teach both English and Spanish! WAKE UP people why your worried about reputation STUDENTS suffer! AP gone most days to 2nd job by 3:30. Yes HAHN it's a bunch of BULL_ _ _ _! All that energy spent trying to put the blame on whoever is putting it on the blog should be placed on fixing the problems but go ahead and pretend there aren't any!
