BIG RAISES BRING NO DIRECT EXPERIENCE

We had to ponder on the newly selected assistant superintendents, which were just, washed a bit and made shiny.  But we all know it was all a ploy to sell us people who have no direct experience at all levels of education.  Interestingly enough when assistant principals are chosen they must have a principal certificate to be considered.  Yet our new assistant superintendents do not have a superintendent certificate... but yet are in positions that have a direct effect to our students.  Yet when you look at their experiences they have no other experience than their respective certification.  Some will say Washington has all levels but yet no one can provide the successes created that will help us.

THOSE OF YOU WHO MAY KNOW,  TELL US WHAT THESE INDIVIDUALS HAVE DONE TO IMPROVE STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT!

  1. I know Moore "taught" a lesson in my classroom one day. I still don't know why. All it did was make my students nervous. Having twelve clipboards in the room and then expecting that the behavior that is witnessed is the norm? Please. Next time, don't do me any favors. Oh yeah, there won't be a next time.

  2. O.K., I've got one for you. Two years ago the 5th grade ELA teacher at Greenbriar Elementary "retired" in January. So what does the district do? Of course, they try to get a substitute teacher to take the position. At great savings to the district I am sure. $71/day vs. $251/day with benefits. I happen to know that the first day back from Christmas break parents were greeting the Sub as the new teacher. What does that say? Absolutely nothing had been communicated to the parents at Greenbriar. I guess the fact that the taxpayers had already paid to have a State Certified Highly Qualified teacher in that position means nothing to the Administration or the Board. And what does it say about the dedication to the students at Greenbriar? Any one of these want to claim Greenbriar as their own?

I have one question. Do you think this foolish would fly at Tanglewood?

  3. When does the MADNESS end? Jerry Moore was beat up when he was a teacher at Worth Heights Elementary by the husband of a teacher he was having an affair with. Dr. LaTanya Walker has a lawsuit pending against him because of his treatment of her. Anne Rusher was moved to HCM and is just sitting around doing nothing. When is that asshole Norm Robbins going to be replaced as Board President?

  4. It's time to prepare yourselves now for the next battle over the new Super. We will need the info on how Linares got these idiots hired and promoted, all recent grievances, continued spending on Palazzolo's case, and the rest.

  5. I like Jerry Moore. He seems to be an honest man, who works hard to get where he is at. If you know anything bad about him, please don't ruin it for me. It would be like meeting your idol and finding out he is an asshole! It would truly shake and rattle my world! I'm more concerned how Michael Steinart has made it as Executive Director in the first place, with a Social Work degree! Did he ever teach? He's a big brown Moser and cares little about his staff. He allowed Dr. Diaz bully all of her employees out, the doorThe man rarely shows up to any mtgs for the staff he is over, like counselors, intervention, student engagement, and so on. I recently heard that his intervention coordinators are ready to rip him a new one, because they have gone through 2 appeals for a salary adjustment and have been denied both times. Yet, he gets a nice raise and title change, while his worker bees get squat. They bust their asses while gets the credit and raise. All the while telling people that the district had budget problems. This budget crap happened a couple of years back too. Dansby snuck in the raises without board approval. Then they throw us a measly 3% raise while they make thousands more. This district is never going to allow a real Super, a man who wants to change the district in a positive manner. They want a puppet like Tocco, Johnson, Dansby and now Linares. All these people made deals with Medusa aka Needham. Why do you think Needgam has lasted 19 yrs? The only hope is she dies off and a non 7th St member takes over. Of course, Needham won't die off anytime soon, until she and her precious AHHS are vindicated. I wish she would just slither away like the snake that she is and goes to some remote island with her old lady, Leonard. I personally would rather sharks eat me than spend a second with both of those old pretentious hags! This board needs a shake up from the feds! They are truly the mafiosos tha t run the district and all of the personnel.

  6. Well as far as the Superintendent Certification, don't worry I'm sure that all will work on that once they are hired. On FWISD time no doubt. It looks like that might be a bit difficult for Ms. Arispe, since she does not even have a Principal Certification. What do you expect? Upper management continues to fatten their pockets, hire whomever they choose, and there's too few board members to vote against! What a joke! Surely there's an attorney out there that reads this blog that can direct us who to go to?!? Still paying Rafaela Gomez $66k a year and she doesn't even have a degree! Mr. Avila makes $$ from a construction company with ties to his family. I'm not sure how much more illegal, unethical, CRAP we must endure before SOMEBODY cares enough about our students to hold them accountable! News won't report it, Star Telegram won't write about it... Sounds a bit like the story of the Little Red Hen-Everyone wants to complain about it but, nobody seems to want to change anything. It's gotten way out of control- Administration isn't even trying to hide it either! It's like they think they're UNTOUCHABLE!

  7. You know Justice, perhaps that's why Needhams health isn't so great! I'd call that kharma and if there's a hell, she will eventually get there. The real question though is, how the hell will we ever clean up this freaking mess! It's so commonplace, I don't anyone can imagine the way it should be. Why the hell do they even post open positions anyway? Such BULLSHIT! They only hire people they know, family, friends, etc. (with no regard to qualifications or apptitude) and they continue to get away with it! With Zero accountability!

  9. I am not surprised that Linares promoted someone like Moore - who Needham, Sims, Robbins, Moss, Jackson and Avilla all voted to approve. Afterall, there was the nipple pinching principal who was promoted and now there is also Dugan.

  10. I have been reading this blog almost from the beginning and sometimes I think that the comments that people make are just from whiners but then the board does something like this for very obvious reasons where unqualified people get, in some cases huge raises, for no other reason than they know someone or are related to someone or have agreed to kiss someone ass for the the rest of eternity and i realize there are no whiners here.

  11. Sorry, but I cannot believe that a vile, unethical and immoral person such as Needham has "health problems". She is not human and obviously fears no judgment when she leaves this life. She will be held accountable for her despicable acts, the lies she has told, and the many lives she has destroyed.

  12. Hasn't she been quoted as having said: "If we wait long enough, maybe he (referring to Palazzolo) will die?" She already has the blood of Danny Swanson and the young teacher who committed suicide on her hands? That in addition to the countless others she has traumatized over the years. I'm thankful I'm out of FWISD. http://www.fwweekly.com/2013/05/15/disabled-and-discarded/

  13. Justice for DannyMay 20, 2015 at 9:37 AM

Danny and others will be waiting for Needham when she tries to cross over. Our Lord has a special place for her - of her own creation. The same goes for the other too-long sitting members of this Board who sat back and allowed her injustices to go unchallenged: Sims, Moss, Robbins, and now Jackson. Your power on this earth is fleeting and you will be held accountable for what you have done to this ISD, its teachers and children.

  14. I have read about so much unethical behavior by FWISD employees on CIA and now here on this site. if there is any truth to this why doesn't the DAs office get involved in the investigating of such allegations?

  16. Needham bragged about her relationship with the old D.A. I have confidence in Ms. Wilson but her white collar crime guy is extremely weak. This goes back to the Ingram Concrete scandal when Needham and Sims lied to save themselves. Funny thing though - my understanding is they never gave the concrete they received back to the FWISD Bond contractor. So years later, she is still cutting deals for her friends on the backs of our children while Sims just goes (or sleeps) along; Moss is clueless; Robbins simply inept and unethical; Jackson out to forge a political career.

  18. Tired, now c'mon surely you know many choose to live in a bubble. I used to live there too, I am sad to admit it is true. It is easy to believe the rainbow and butterflies until: you see a student that needs support that we can't get, unqualified idiots deciding what you should do in the classroom, coaches marrying former students to avoid prosecution, fat raises for people who never went to college, even fatter raises for non-classroom positions, lavish accommodations for administrative trainings and no $$ to properly train teachers, on so forth! Yuuup, that bubble is quite comfy until it pops!

  19. Don't know if your from here or have been here long but our former DA's were about as corrupt as it gets. Switched political parties to stay elected, only cared about prostitutes at election time, always gave breaks to the wealthy. Totally incompetent in the court room. I don't know much about the new DA but you don't get elected in Ft. Worth without the backing of big money and of course once you take that you are in their pocket forever. In this case part of the money anyway belongs to Marty Leonard who is Judy Needham's partner, in crime as well as life. So bottom line, we could go to the DA with video, documents, confessions, and still nothing would be done.

  20. Thanks for the link. That reminded me that Eldon Ray got more concrete that Needham and Sims put together did. When there is talk of past corruption it's amazing that his name is rarely mentioned even though he was at the heart of it all.

  21. I'm telling you FWISD Needham and company including the Chamber and Mayor want to see public education strangled in the crib. They are a part of the right wing nutz Texas continues to elect and re-elect.

  26. I am doing this ask I write. Before getting Federal involvement, it is essential to first make TEA IG aware of mismanagement of personnel procedures and contracting procedures and other abuses within FWISD. Therefore I am writing to TEA, State Auditor and State Comptroller to be followed by federal agencies --- FBI, DOE IG, Civil Rights, Justice, and Federal Government Accounting Agency. Guess what FWISD, I'm not going away. If FWISD BOD will not provide oversight of FWISD central administration, I will continue to fight for students, parents and taxpayers of FWISD. Has anyone noticed this Legislative session is using "tax cuts" on homestead exemptions born on the back of public school taxes? Just another example of how Republican legislators are attempting to starve local school districts.

  27. I was leaving Fort Worth just as the TOCCO scandal erupted. If you have reference to that scandal naming how that scandal was brought to daylight, I would appreciate the assistance. It seems FWISD didn't learn its lessons from that scandal. Don't look now but the same issues surrounding the "Bond" package are re-occurring.

  28. Actually, Needham is physically sick. Her behavior does not deserve anyone's sympathy.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Its because the SAME BOARD MEMBERS are still here: Needham, Moss and Sims. Bought and paid for by front man Ray Dickerson. That story on Avilla is a perfect summary of the nepotism and corruption with FWISD. It is a "corrupt organization" in the legal definition. How else does anyone justify Avilla sitting on the Board after Dickerson threatened the opposition into withdrawing? He tried the same thing this election. As evidenced by the new hire (OMG what a joke) and promotions, money is not a problem for FWISD. Just look at the millions spent in legal fees against employees. This Board has spent almost twice in legal fees what the Jury awarded Palazzolo in damages and they are STILL SPENDING.

  30. With Ray all you have to do is visit his house and see all the concrete that was pored and billed to one of our Elementary schools. Or you can ask Linares why Tocco really gave her a $20, 000 a year bump when teachers weren't getting anything. Ask Dansby the same question. You're right about this bond. The bright spot in it is that it isn't for the more than $700 million that was originally proposed.

  32. And where in the general fund do you see these funds outgoing? I've seen the financials but I cannot find where the so called "self insurance" plan is identified? Do you? If you want to get to the bottom line, let's work together. This is a great website. Some let off steam. Others know how to crack this nut. Let's get 'er done!

  34. What does TEA even do?May 22, 2015 at 5:19 PM

Linda, Do you not think that TEA has some culpability in the corruption in FWISD? They are about as useful as "Tits on a bull!" I mean they don't seem to be very effective in the Palazzolo case. They ordered the district to put him back on the payroll then shortly after, the district just got rid of him again! If they are the "police" of education, I fear anarchy will remain here! We have people without college degrees teaching (or pretending too) our at-risk kids! WTF? You think some of this crazy mess would fly at TangleWood? There's so much wrongdoing, illegal, and plain old bat shit crazy going on here, I don't think we've scratched the surface.

  35. and yet there isnt much money for teachers :(
I can attest that teacher morale and self image is at an all time low.
Were dictated to and are rarely treated as experts in anything.
    I cant do it anymore
