JACKSON SAID WHAT?

We needed to come back to this fine moment when an elected representative of the FWISD commented on what kids should do when they ride on the bus to get to school for an hour for the new STEM ACADEMY.  Listen:

So Ms. Jackson whose children don't even attend her own district 2 schools has the audacity to say that every other child should ride the bus as long as it takes.  Of course we know this is in support of Needham where it looks like the STEM will reside in Benbrook.  So does her child ride the bus to Paschal?  Interesting on how the Johnson's aka(Jacksons) see our children and it's not a bother because she doesn't have to get up at 4:30 or 5 AM to get her kids to the bus stop early enough so they can make it to school.  Why aren't East Side schools good enough for you?
SHAME!!! and LOOKS LIKE SHE IS ASHAMED OF THE SCHOOLS SHE CLAIMS TO REPRESENT

  1. "Seriously they can (shrugs her shoulders) ...time management." This has got to be shown to every person who follows her Facebook page and who supported her. What condescending arrogance. This should also be sent to every news station. Needham, Robbins, Sims, Jackson, Avila, Romeo I mean Ramos - Our kids do not stand a chance.

  2. Question to ask: do you love kids? Teacher replies; of course I have 3 of my own. WRONG ANSWER!!! Do you love the kids you serve. It is about the kids you serve. If it is not good enough for your own children it is not good enough for other's children. Parents- get informed.

  3. If these clowns are suddenly so "short" of $$$ for the Bond and operations, why are they still secretly throwing thousands of dollars away on the Palazzolo case? In the past five years, this Board has spent more in legal and administrative fees and costs punishing this guy than they were fined by the Jury in the judgment. AND THEY ARE STILL SPENDING OUR MONEY ON IT. Moreover, his was not the only case. Norm Robbins' lie "Tell them it's covered by insurance" - is just that: there isn't any. It is yet another example of the corrupt and deceitful arrogance of this Board. Hope the new Super candidates read this blog and the numerous stories in the Weekly. We need parents on this Board. Not those of the ilk of Tobi Jackson - parents concerned with children. How can we allow this STEM decision (moving it to Benbrook) stand without a fight? If they have enough $$$ to keep throwing it away at the Palazzolo case, they have enough to keep STEM at Farrington. The question is: WHO stands to profit from all of this corruption?

  4. Okay and can someone tell me the price tag for those ridiculous cameras that are being placed in schools? We are told it's for safety yet mostly hallways and common areas covered. Teachers parking lot covered-nope, all entrances into the school-nope, and the large screen is placed in the main office! So now our data clerk and secretary have to watch teachers adjusting themselves, etc. somebody please tell me how this improves safety? I mean you don't have to be a genius to figure out that the cameras are poorly placed and placing the monitor in the front office is insane! Did the board vote for this? Well, I guess we get any criminal activity recorded but, not sure how teachers picking their butts is a crime we can prosecute. Hahahaha more $$ just wasted!

  5. Excellent questions. Dansby, Robbins, Needham, Linnares and Moss know where the bones are buried from the TOCO bond scandal. If the board will not start unearthing these bones, it is the taxpayer who must do so. Start asking the district through the open records act, informing yourself about the rules related to Open Meetings Acts, Get out your shovels and start digging. When 48% of the budget goes toward salaries at the administration building for such a large urban area, you have to scratch you head to ask how people with 30+ years on FWISD payrolls, you have to ask where are the dollars being spent on paying teachers....dedicated teachers....who know why the cameras are in the their offices. Could it be to catch things like the fraud related to falsely recording attendance records, fraud pertaining to contracts for technology and disparate treatment of minority students? If the City fathers and the Chamber does not step up to taking an open investigation FWISD administration and board member's lack of fiduciary duty to the taxpayers of Fort Worth but more importantly how tax dollars budgetary and bond issues, employers in Fort Worth will be unable to hire even the most basic employee locally and every social issues they have worked so hard to improve will not bode well for the future of Fort Worth. I say these things as someone who has been proud to say Fort Worth is my home. My children were educated in FWISD public schools. I care about the children of Fort Worth. BTW the former CFO Johnson transferred the "malpractice insurance responsibility to TASB - to eliminate the costs from FWISD budget". This is why malpractice defense costs for all employee terminations and retaliation against principals and teachers of honor are being watched with those office cameras as well. No one but the defense attorneys are the only one's benefiting from their so called legal defense. This next school board election is more important than ever. Ask each candidate why they deserve your vote? Don't let them hide behind name recognition. Ask tough questions. Make them show up by having your church, business organization and any other venue by invitation. My experience running against Needham was she hid. She would not be visible to her constituency.

  7. Apparently we all overlooked another reason this is going to Benbrook: Board President Normy Robbins. Another lame attempt to appease the calls by Benbrook residents for their own ISD. So at the expense of children from all over the City, these idiots are going to move STEM to Benbrook and sell/develop the land with another of Needham or Dickerson's buddies. This is so wrong!. Shame on Ramos, Sims, and Moss for not speaking for their communities. We already know Jackson is in the tank for Jackson. "They can study on the bus" should be used by her opponent in the election.

  9. No wonder there was no public discussion or vote on appealing Palazzolo's Jury award! The hearing on the Open Meetings Act suit filed by his new attorney is December 1st. FWISD is desperately trying to move that case to Fort Worth. Wonder why? More attempts at cover-up. Citizens desperately need a public audit of all funds and hidden monies in FWISD.
