  1. We need people that will support our teachers, we can all say it is about the children, BUT it is those closest to the children, working with them every day, the teacher, the cafeteria worker, the counselor, the intervention specialist, the stay in school coordinator, the custodian, the overworked, least paid and underserved that need support, resources and to work in an environment that is free of humiliation, intimidation and manipulation. We cannot serve children properly if we are not taking care of our employees!

  3. The Public needs to be informed as you have begun doing. Teachers, parents and employees need someone they can trust - someone they can rally behind who has INTEGRITY. If you finally stand tall on issues - like refusing to waiver on the residency requirements - no one will be able to stand against you. We need you to bring the Palazzolo witch-hunt to an end NOW. Please tell us how much $$ has really been spent on this matter over the past four years. ALL the legal fees, expenses, time spent by Reyna, Menchaca, Whatley and Dawson. Please DEMAND there be a house cleaning in OPS. Please take a PUBLIC stand against moronic statements like "they can study on the bus".

  4. Honest and ethical... WTF?! Flip flops and is an idiot!!! She will be gone at election... No I'm not a Needham cronie... Just not buying the crap she brings... Now let's get rid of Sorum, Breed, etc as well...

  5. You're an idiot! She's probably not as "ballsy" as I would like but, standing on that mountain all alone is most likely tough! She's one person in the middle of shit storm! I admire her tenacity! I doubt anyone will please everyone 100% of the time but, Ann has proven herself more so than not!

  6. Ann hasn't sold out, special interest do not support her campaign like other board members, especially the new ones pretending to care about the children and fulfilling their own agendas. Ann asks the questions that need answers in PUBLIC! She stands ALONE and no other board member can stand with her because the strings (special interest/money) won't let them.

  7. I was at Palazzolo's trial and saw with my own eyes - heard with my own ears - Brandt the FWISD attorney threaten Dr. Sutherland to the point where the Judge had to stop the trial and send the Jury out of the Courtroom before warning him not to do that it his Courtroom again. Not trying to make excuses, but it is common knowledge that Needham, Robbins and Jackson routinely withhold information from Ann and out right lie. Most recently when Robbins told the Board to tell the Public the Palazzolo appeal was being handled by the "insurance company". We found out there is none. I would like to see Ann demand FWISD release the legal fees spent on Palazzolo and every other employee in the past four years. I would also like to see her DEMAND the residency provision of Board Policy be enforced. Rumors are flying about Needham's push for Sorum to be the next Super. This is just WRONG and must be stopped. The students of FWISD need for Needham, Moss and Jackson in particular to be replaced. The fact that Jackson's children do not even attend schools in her district should cause voters to open their eyes. Finally, Ann you need to take a stand to end the Palazzolo mess. The Board wanted to go to trial. You went and lost. Take responsibility and end it.

  8. She stands out until it is time to vote. She approved the mess of the bond. She approved the extra cars for staff. She allows Sorum to run the district into the ground & Breed to push her own racial agenda.

  9. Thanks for the lack of response, No Strings Attached. Who's the idiot now?

  10. I voted AGAINST the budget, including the cars. I refused to vote for the bond until it was reduced. I vote against most of Sorum's extra appointments. It's hard to vote against Sorum/Breed sometimes because the presidents and district refuses to place votes I request on the agenda.

  11. Ann, thanks for the response. Someone needs to look into Breed's racial agenda. Her consultants she brought in that tore all the INOK signs down of a black student bullying a white or Hispanic student. Yet ALL of the signs showing white or Hispanic bullying on black students were told to be left up. I can say "we", as I am a principal in the district, but of course cannot come forward.

  12. It may be helpful to both your supporters and critics if you publicly stated in Board meetings that you had made a request to include something on the agenda and it had been denied. And tell us who denied it. You could state this at any point in General Session by merely saying "Point of Order" and telling us. This should not be going on though we all know it is. The public has a right to know.

  13. To Tired, No one but no one on the board questions anything except Ann. All of the new members are lockstep with the rest. Ann is essentially alone trying to get a corrupt board to actually do what's right for the kids and employees of this district. Would you do the same? At every turn she has been marginalized by Needham and her cronies yet she continues to fight on. Again would you do the same against those odds? Those of us in the district that have been under the same kind of isolation for doing what we think is best for the students know how hard it is. We get called in daily for not having the correct list of meaningless items posted in our classrooms or not doing a formative assessment every 5 minutes, or diverting from the framework all because a group of egomaniacs who couldn't teach a child to tie his/her shoes thinks we should. Ann is fighting to stop the madness. What are you fighting for?

  14. I will do this. Thank you for the suggestion.

  15. I was at the Palazzolo trial and heard Norm Robbins, Judy Needham and Robert Ray LIE under oath and say "Fort Worth ISD does not retaliate". I was stunned and infuriated. This is the same unethical, untruthful "leadership" which for DECADES has manipulated Bond issues while students are still falling out of desks. The attitude of "they (students) can study on the bus" KNOWING some students already catch the bus at 5:30 a.m. typifies the carpet-bagging attitude of this Board. Ann, you can rally Teachers, Employees and Parents if you continue to stand up. More importantly you need to be heard during Board Meetings. Do not allow Robbins to shut you down. This Palazzolo mess is a travesty. The Jury has spoken. Time for you to speak out to end this!!

  16. Seriously, google drive training?!?!?! Enough waste! I want to know how much does this cost the district? If you haven't had the training, just wait because it's coming. I mean it's technology and it's neat and yes it's cool but, how does this improve my teaching? Freakin morons we have running the district! You can't replace my 10 year old laptop but, this has a hefty price tag and I demand to know how much did this cost?

  17. I didn't need to respond you idiot because Ann addressed your lies. I was going to call it something else but, that's exactly what it was! Lies!

  18. Thanks Ann. I have a question. Monday my daughter a fifth grader's class went to Camp Carter. It was freezing cold and she was outside all day. Yet, my other daughter's class was kept inside for recess because FWISD thought it was too cold to go outside (same school). I know that the principal could not cancel the field trip, since it was scheduled by FWISD. How is this okay? My daughter was outside all day?

  19. Obviously one of these decisions was wrong!

This is an example of overmanagement (my possibly unprofessional term) by the central office--or, perhaps, because the principal was even afraid to ask for this permission. Last Monday (Dec. 1) the board had a workshop on our goals. We ended up with a unanimously agreed-upon set of goals, one of which is to empower the schools to make more decisions. The board thinks too many decisions are made centrally and we want to place more responsibility for decisions on school sites. The list of board principles has not yet been announced but several of us are very excited about this new resolution. We will need the help of the community (and the blogs are helping) to bring this about.

  20. Ann, thanks again for the update on the board but despite that sounding like a really good idea, how can the board expect it to be followed when administrators already ignore state law ( SCA's) and don't trust teachers or principals to do the job they've been trained to do. When you have directors writing multiple page reports to principals after a visit that nit pick on the smallest things not related to teaching, that once again shows the micromanagement mentality that is hurting the district. Plus you know that there are board members the with a wink wink and nod nod allow administrators to ignore board policy. Can the board put some real teeth into these resolutions and force the administration to follow board policy or face some serious consequences?

  21. WE need people who will support our administrators to REMOVE poor teachers and stop letting Steven Poole and UEA run the damn district!
