Going back almost 5 years ago with the Palazzolo case, the depositions by Needham and Jackson signaled conflict of interest and cronyism due to the law firm hired to collect debts by the district. If you recall anything on the board meeting, we believe Vasquez and others pushed for either the same law firm to remain or hire a different one. Then enters Needham and her crew and they vote the current one out and bring in Linebarger. This firm then set out to find dirt on Palazzolo and found that he apparently owed money in Oklahoma and sparked an apparent lie on his job application. The case had been settled and was never an issue.
The reason Linebarger was able to get the information is because they are a virus spread across the country. A recent story by CNN MONEY has found that Linebarger has strong business in Texas because of the amount of money it pumps to candidates and politics in general.
So Needham and Jackson are tied to their dirty money and we don't know who else. MOSS and SIMS are the puppets going along with them as Sims has endorsed Jackson for re-election and that brings along MOSS. Will they ever be their own voice?
So you can bet that this election year both will be backed well. We may not know because some laws protect donors. This just speaks to the urgency to get voters to see it and to vote for someone else. MONEY TALKS IN THIS CASE and no focus on students. Jackson can take all the pictures she wants but has nothing to show for it. The benefit has been for her as well as Needham. SCARY AND SAD!

It is actually far worse than what you have outlined in the story above. In Palazzolo's case discovery, it was alleged that Needham brought the actual competing law firm's bid along with a bottle of wine to the home of senior Linebarger partner Mary Williams. There and then the two allegedly crafted the "winning bid" and Williams agreed to Needham's request to open an investigation on Palazzolo. Shortly thereafter, Palazzolo was fired and 10 days after that, Linebarger had the first of two contracts with FWISD. Once this came out in discovery, the Linebarger contract was terminated and re-bid. This time, Williams with Betsy Price in tow, met with Needham and Jackson at Michael's restaurant in Fort Worth to discuss securing the FWISD contract - again. This was testified to by Jackson and Needham at trial and in depositions. The rest as they say, is history. Cecelia Speer, Sylvia Reyna, Robert Ray, Dansby, Sims, they all allegedly knew of this and supported it.
ReplyDeleteThank you "The Record" that is how it happened and it is documented on the depositions.
ReplyDeleteA picture that says it all. Jackson, Barbara Williams (Linebarger partner) and Mayor Price.
ReplyDeleteIf this is documented why haven't charges been filed. Clearly this is a violation of law. At the least this should have been taken to our former do nothing DA then when he refused it, it should have gone to the Attorney General or the US Attorney. Why wasn't that done?
ReplyDeleteI mis-spoke above. It IS Barbara Williams.
ReplyDeleteReally? This city is ran by the 7th street gang that controls all of Fort Worth. No where else could a principal falsify attendance like Neta Alexander did and attain a job as principal in Mansfield ISD! Guess since her husband works for TCU she is protected even by TEA. TCU, the city and FWISD are all on the same team.
ReplyDeleteI'm confused. I read those depositions that you posted a while back and I read every dull, dry moment, twice. I kept waiting for the smoking gun but, I did not really see one. She kept denying or having no memory of anything that might suggest any wrongdoing. I guess it's stupid to think she would actually admit to anything and I still hoped that it would be more obvious. I believe there's corruption running loose all through our district but, we need to get the details of their corruption out in the open for everyone to see!
ReplyDeletePeople met with and wrote to D.A. Joe Shannon and his Staff repeatedly but each time any investigation was shut down. Seventh Street politics. The Attorney General's position is that it is local and thus in the purview of the local DA. So far. the good news is we have a new D.A. who may have more of a moral compass and backbone. Palazzolo's complaint was with TEA and because he could not file simultaneously, Tatum filed the Federal complaint. The Feds were going to sudit the entire ISD, but Tatum cut a deal with Dansby for his "job" and dropped the complaint. The FEDS are our best hope for clearing out Needham, Robbins, Jackson, and all the rest. Like him or not, consider that Palazzolo and his family have fought Needham, Robbins and the rest - and WON before a jury of 12 when Dansby, Avila, Robbins and Needham insisted on going to trial - by themselves. Time for more parents and Teachers to fight back.

ReplyDeleteWhat's the big deal?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the information. Like you I hope that the new DA will stand up for the kids of Ft. Worth but we'll have to see. On another topic, can anyone give me information on what discipline is like in middle and high school?
ReplyDeleteConfused; I am retired and was there for most of the trial. When on the witness stand, NONE of the FWISD personnel starting with Needham, and Robbins came off with any credibility to the Jury or anyone else. Sitting there saying "I don't remember" when dozens of Teachers testify differently just did not come off well to common, everyday Taxpayers and Parents. The ultimate loss of credibility was when FWISD's attorney began attacking and threatening Ann Sutherland in open court. Palazzolo's trial attorney did everyone a grave injustice by failing to file a charge against Thomas Brandt with the Court or BAR Association. I am waiting for Sutherland to ask that the Palazzolo mess be placed on the agenda (as Moss just did with the name change) and call for a public vote to end this crap. It has gone on far too long. They are already in too deep with their so-called appeal. They are wasting our $$$ which should be spent in the classroom, on trying to undue the Jury decision. C'mon Ann - end this now.
ReplyDeleteOnly a "Judy" would ask that question.................
ReplyDeleteWell Lynn, check out the District maps on the FWISD webpage. If EVER there was a reason for the Dept. of Justice (regardless of your political affiliation) to open an investigation into the jeri-mandering of electoral populations (as with Tom Delay who was found innocent) it is FWISD. To look at district 5 and think it was anything BUT created for Needham is laughable.
ReplyDeleteRemember, rules are just a suggestion for the board and upper management..
ReplyDeleteSultan Cole and Tobi Jackson are both homophobic. Sultan does it outwardly; Tobi inwardly. Do not be fooled. Look deeper at these two candidates. When you betray your own family you will betray anyone. Just ask Ramos' wife!
