What is an SRO and what is their role on a school campus?
-arrive late
-long lunches
-out of uniform, not prepared for active shooting or any form of violence on campus
-sit in their offices all day
-play video games in their office
-leave campus unannounced
-do not understand the severity of student offenses, so many play it off and do NOTHING
-make no contact with students (no relationship building, which is what Chief Halstead as all about)
-some even attempt to tell administrators how to do their job
SRO- School Resource Officers or Special Reject Officers?
These are Fort Worth PD finest, NOT. How many school shootings need to occur before FWISD realizes we need REAL officers on our campuses: There has been, on average, 1 school shooting every week this year
