Check out the misspelling on the website.
So now we need to hire a spell check for Griffith since she is out riding the school car. We are on a hiring spree and happy raising salaries.. so why not just add one more. Look at the last headline,
I wonder which principle she is referring to?
So she got a FWISD provided vehicle? How is this possible? Why? What happened to the requirement that she live within FWISD? When was the public discussion and PUBLIC vote on this?
ReplyDeleteI just found this comment about last night's budget meeting on Ann Sutherland's Blog. The "Griffith Effect" is not confined to Babs. Bloated, overpaid, over stipended, over perked bureaucrats. Millions spent on personal vendettas by the Board while children fall out of desks, sit on the floor, and eat crap (see following story). When does this insanity end? "Outraged Coordinator said on 6/2/15 - 09:55PM Did you approve more raises for administrative assistants? Rosibel Jimenex with GED makes 62000 now like Rafaela Gomez. Being Hispanic and a friend to Monge is what gets you a promotion in HCM. For those of us that actually have an education like true coordinators, it's a slap in the face! Some of us are even certified educators!"
ReplyDeleteOkay Ann, I know that you read this blog and you are an honest person! Please confirm Rosibel Jimenex makes 62k. We already know about Rafaela Gomez so now this? Mr. Monge has some explaining to DO!
ReplyDeleteI am checking; read my blog for the response when it comes.
ReplyDeleteYeah, why is that? She's suppose to live in the District but she does not AND that's okay because WE ARE GOING TO PAY for you a car. Umm okay does this make any sense?!?! Explain why she gets a car allowance? Better yet, why can't she drive a damn Kia and save us a dollar or two?!?!? At what point is this going to stop? This so disgusting to see his crap go on and a teachers check only increased $159 over a 6 year period! This is obsurd!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, nice to know getting those two Master's degrees are really helping my career. So glad Mr. Monge could turn down my TASB appeal, but still pay Ms. Jimenez 62K. Nice...
ReplyDeleteFWISD works on the Peter Principal a great book if you haven't read it. Meaning when an employee reaches his level of "incompetence" he is promoted. This occurs either due to the incompetence of his boss and/or some veiled mutual consent coercion. Then there is nepotism and cronyism permitting the poorly educated to make outrageous salaries to secretaries. If you didn't see the public comment at the Avila board meeting, you will see 5 ordinary taxpayers are paying attention to how FWISD does not practice what it preaches. Even the student code of conduct is absurd. The kids know which teachers are fooling around with students, know which kids are dealing drugs and know which kids are bullying other kids but students have such a lack of trust and respect for school officials they would not dare report these issues to school officials or their parents. I have a great deal of empathy for our teachers who care about their students but are also caught in risking their job with any attempt to affect change for their students.
ReplyDeleteDo you think the public is ready to petition the board for "true" public comment at the board meetings? It is absurd that FWISD board rules are disallowing freedom of speech so citizens (non employees of FWISD) can ask these kinds of questions. This so called rule of only making statements versus than being allowed 3 minutes to pose these and other kinds of questions seems a fundamental right. I would be interested in hearing other's views on this matter.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you and am trying to research what can be done. I wonder if we can reach enough concerned parents/taxpayers that we can file some sort of suit against the School Board/District.
ReplyDeleteWhile much was not done this last legislative session to correct issues related to public education, the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure (legal textbook) will come out soon adding what changes were enacted through the education committee under Education Code and Section 552 related Open Meetings Requirements and Open Records Request. Those interested in changing board processes will need to research these sections of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure. However, citizens need to understand that once AG rules in citizen favor there is a deadline to notice FWISD you will be picking up requested documents within that deadline (usually 10 days). FWISD will never volunteer to turn over documents even when AG rules against FWISD. Although Royce West does not represent Tarrant County contacting Sen. West and Marc Vesey's office to ask for direction on how to legally change many of the corrupted outdated policies and procedures may assist in turning over more information from the board in public meetings. The current process is definitely a freedom of speech issue for citizens and taxpayers. This plus nepotism, cronyism, suspicious uses of bond package, and two line items for legal fees one for $4.2 million which includes tax audits and another line item for legal fees for $750K and having a lawyer on staff whose salary isn't broken out to show her overall salary needs auditing. Frankly, having a salaried attorney on staff is unnecessary and could be done by a trained and experienced paralegal at a much reduced salary. Last time I checked, most legal issues affecting FWISD are farmed out to "contract attorneys at the rate of $400 and hour. Education does not happen in the courtroom but in the classroom. These attorney's fees need to be audited and curtailed directing savings to teachers salaries and students education.
ReplyDeleteAnn any word yet?
ReplyDeleteYou have two master's degrees but do you have a GED? LMAO!
ReplyDeleteOMG, Linda, you are posting on a string about a gross misuse on the District Website of the word "principle" when it should have been "principal," then you do the exact same thing in reverse. Go ahead and blame it on your smartphone like everyone else does when they don't know how to spell or how to use proper grammar.
