TASB-THE GRINCH ALL YEAR!

In adding to the corruption and the things that keep us from truly removing board members and getting them to do what we want.

TASB has been a thorn in FWISD with their interpretation of rules and laws and their complete monopoly of policies that are adopted by school boards.  They are part of the corrupt system that we endure here in FWISD.

We need more control, that is the people and legislators need to remove TASB from having so much power.

Our board members have been indoctrinated enough to be corrupted.

THE WATCHDOGS SAY CORRUPTION IS RAMPANT!

Let's recall briefly when we thought the Department of Education, local District Attorney and state agencies were coming to look up the corruption of FWISD.  Politics got in the way and the politicians killed the investigations.

Now there are new entities that are looking at how corruptive our district is and while it may not single it out, it does show that eyes are looking.

The Dallas Morning News ran a very important story on how local school boards have been allowed to ruin how districts are run and lost the focus on students.  You hear the words it's for the student but they are hollow because it becomes nepotism and a badge of honor rather than an action.

We hope law and order comes to FWISD, don't forget how Ramos and Paz got full rides to TCU, family members, etc.  Basically selling their soul.

Then we have our board and super going back to class to really try and learn how to govern and help improve student outcomes.  It so happens that the school districts selected were because school are still failing and the turnaround plans were UNACCEPTABLE.  So we recall that the failed principal Hall and then Monge were the ones responsible for the plans.  Why did we think they would, they have nothing in their resume to show that they have helped turn around schools or anything remotely close.  So the board and super get to spend two days going over how they will make schools better.  If the schools do not do better then TEA can come in and if miracles do happen they can come in and take over.  Then we find out that some board members have no clue what is going on, shocker, that they wanted to know why they are going to this training.  One responded that they didn't fudge the numbers well enough so now they are stuck.  We know the district doesn't show the numbers because unless you study them well, they are not there.  Then Scribner says that scores are improving yet they never show them.  We have always asked for the numbers and only until the end of the year in June do we hear about it and by then Moss is asking again, what will be different next year and the cycle continues.

NEW TRIAL SET FOR MAY 9, 2017- CAREFUL WHAT YOU ASK FOR

Well as reported in comments the new trial, by the request of FWISD, is set for May 9, 2017.  The pre-trial was Monday and a mediation has been ordered by the judge for April 15th.  FWISD has informed Palazzolo that they will file another appeal if the Supreme Court does not grant their motion.  So they are trying to delay again for what they asked for and got.

Can we put this in Scribner's contract to stop the bleeding?

More money and another year!

SCRIBNER GETS 5 YEARS!

It almost sounded like 5 years to life which is how it feels for most who are working under deplorable conditions.
Last night the board decide to give him a 5 year contract to "start focusing on student achievement."  Almost quoted exactly  which means he has not been doing anything right now so in order to get it done he needed more time.  Kind of hard to focus on something when you have not developed strategies beyond names and themes of things that will improve academics in the district.

Why do you need to be bribed?  Why can't you just do what is needed because that's what you truly feel?  This tells us that you are not concerned with anything other than cashing in because no matter what, unless you truly do something stupid, you get to earn more than a million dollars in the time you are here.  You have the same people doing the same things and even the new ones have made nothing different.  What is different?  What will be different?  Why can't we have the facts of what is going on?

Can't wait to see next year after elections to hopefully start pushing people out!!

Why can't we as educators get a guarantee of a job with more money?

EARLY CHRISTMAS FOR SCRIBNER, THE TRIAL, SPED AND WORTHLESS RAMOS

Well folks Sutherland has indicated that the board will consider a pay raise for Scribner at the next workshop.  We shot the word around to principals and the big questions is FOR WHAT?
yes, the question is what is he getting a raise for?
What has improved for anyone that merits him receiving more money when the little guy gets close to nothing after benefits, taxes, etc.  We hear DII is a mess and for sure don't hear what progress has been made by students.  You have overcrowded classrooms and more programs.

The board really needs to look at this first and really ask for the hard numbers because accountability wise the schools are not doing better, more and more programs are added and heavy top central admin.  At this point we should be saving money and giving it to the classrooms and teachers.  This is a slap in the face for the hard working employees who are not in Central Office.

While Scribner needs more money for his coal, the district continues to waste money on Palazzolo.  It seems the district twice failed to appeal on time and effectively that now they are desperate to figure out how to avoid the trial altogether.  We published their intent to have the case dismissed based on new case law they got from somewhere and now contend that Palazzolo used the Chapter 21 proceedings, grievance process, and that should be it since the board voted him out.  The question in those documents is they mention "teacher" and not administrator.  Most administrators, correct us if we are wrong, do not fall under the same protections as teachers.  Our understanding is anyone can file a grievance and have the use of the courts or other entities.  Anyway, the reasoning is so bad that the court rejected the file because they didn't do it right, even the most common practices were done badly by the high paid lawyers.  We told you hire some monkeys!
So more money to correct their mistakes.  Just go to trial and get it over with, if you are so confident, what are you afraid of?

Special ED on the news and currently being investigated by the Houston Chronicle for underserving sped students in FWISD.
We know  many students are not served because of the bad process in the district.  Teachers would do their part in documenting and having to go through the RTI process just to be denied at the very end.  Too many loopholes and no support.  If you have not gotten the information teachers, TEA has informed districts that RTI is no longer needed to make a request for SPED.  All it takes is a formal request and the district must begin the process.  RTI is good for students who struggle but not THE determinant for students who have an intellectual disability.
Dr. Sutherland, we need the district to fess up because we will provide information to the newspaper on how the district has not served our students well and yet Scribner is going to get a raise?  Lack of leadership should not be rewarded.

RAMOS TAKES CREDIT
We wanted to make sure we highlighted this posting of how Ramos works the cameras like Jackson did to make sure he gets pictures for his re-election bid.  Don't be fooled folks, he has done nothing outside of his circle of friends and cronies and yet does this...
